Revolution Pi – Open IPC Platform for Industry

KUNBUS GmbH from Renningen builds an open, modular alternative to proprietary industrial PLCs with the Revolution Pi platform: the RevPi system is based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module, runs Linux and can be extended via the PiBridge bus with various function modules. Control modules, digital and analogue I/O modules and fieldbus gateways can be flexibly combined and configured for machine, process and IoT applications.

Installer's tip: RevPi modules mount on a DIN rail in the control cabinet and connect to each other laterally via the PiBridge bus. Configuration is done through a browser-based interface without specialist PLC programming knowledge. For integration into existing fieldbus environments such as PROFIBUS or EtherNet/IP, ready-made gateway modules are available that reduce configuration effort to a minimum.
