Casambi modules integrate existing luminaires and LED drivers into a wireless Bluetooth lighting control system. The modules are connected directly between the power source and the driver or luminaire and communicate via the self-organising Casambi mesh network – without additional control cables or a central control unit. Depending on the driver type, variants are available for DALI, 0-10V, phase-cut dimming and constant voltage (12/24V). For outdoor use or humid environments, all common modules are also available in an IP65-protected version.

Casambi-compatible E27 lamp holders enable direct integration of lamp bulbs into the lighting management system – without a separate control module. What is Casambi?
Casambi is a professional lighting management system based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). It enables wireless control of luminaires, LED drivers and actuators via app, wall switch or sensor – without additional wiring or a central control unit. The free Casambi app is available for iOS and Android. Up to 127 Casambi-enabled devices can be integrated into a single network. Casambi is suitable for new installations as well as retrofits in existing buildings – from a single luminaire to building-wide lighting control.
How does Casambi work?
Casambi uses a self-organising Bluetooth mesh network: every connected device acts as both receiver and repeater, forwarding control commands to neighbouring nodes. If a single device fails, the rest of the network remains fully operational. A central hub or gateway is not required for local operation. For remote control outside Bluetooth range, an optional Casambi gateway can be used. The Casambi Matter Bridge additionally enables integration with Matter-compatible platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
The right Casambi module for your application
Which Casambi module is the right choice depends on the existing driver or lamp type. The overview below will help you decide:
Phase cut-off
The trailing edge phase dimmer CBU-TED integrates classic incandescent lamps, 230V halogen lamps (e.g. GU10) and dimmable LED lamps (E27/E14) into the Casambi network.
DALI
The CBU-ASD DALI integrates DALI LED drivers wirelessly into the Casambi network – controllable via app or classic light switch. DALI DT8-compatible devices (Tunable White, RGBW) are controlled directly by the Casambi unit. For outdoor use, an IP65-protected version is available.
Not dimmable
Non-dimmable luminaires cannot be integrated directly via a module – driver replacement is the cleanest solution and must be carried out by qualified personnel only. Alternatively, the luminaire can be integrated into the Casambi network using our switch actuator set – without dimming, but with full switching control via app.
1-10 V
The CBU-ASD 0-10V integrates dimmable 0/1-10V ballasts wirelessly into the Casambi network. The configurable control interface delivers a maximum control current of 7 mA. For outdoor use, an IP65-protected version is available.
Constant voltage 12/24V
The CBU-PWM4 is a Casambi-enabled multi-channel PWM dimmer for constant voltage applications at 12 or 24V. It is mounted directly between the driver and the LED tape and supports 1–4 channels – covering dimming, Tunable White, RGB and RGBW. An IP65 version is available for outdoor use.
