Zipato's smart home wireless socket Energy Plug In Switch with overload protection is based on Z-Wave Plus technology. Z-Wave Plus enabled devices display the Z-Wave Plus logo so that they can be used with other manufacturers' Z-Wave-enabled networks. Remote On / Off is possible with the wireless controllers of other manufacturers.

Each switch serves as a repeater. Repeaters will re-transmit the RF signal to ensure that the signal is received by its intended destination by routing the signal around obstacles and radio dead spots. Since the switch supports Security Commad Class, it can be learned with a Secured controller. The functionality and the supported command classes are identical if the switch is included as a security device or as a non-security device.

The smart home radio socket detects the instance wattage (3000W/230Vac) (13 Ampere) and the overload current (14.5 A with resistive load) of the connected luminaires or appliances. When detecting overload state, the switch will be disabled and its On/Off button will be lockout of which LED will ﬂash quickly. However, unplug and reconnect the switch will reset its overload condition to normal status.
