The HF-B 158/258 TL-D EII 220-240V 50 / 60Hz from Philips' HF Basic EII range is a simple 1/2 flame electronic cold-start ballast for T8 luminaires. It is suitable for luminaire installation. The rated power is 58 watts.
The FL ECG is ideally suited as an entry-level model when converting from conventional to electronic ballasts, but it can also be used in areas where the lighting should create a comfortable ambience or in which flicker-free light is needed.
In addition, the ballast for fluorescent lamps can be used for DC emergency operation according to IEC/EN60598-22. It is also perfectly suited for applications with undimmed lighting or very low switching frequency. An automatic restart after a voltage dip or lamp replacement is guaranteed.
The Philips FL ECG HF-Basic EII has the energy classification CELMA EEI A2 and is therefore very low-loss. The flicker-free cold start is carried out in less than 0.5 seconds. The lifetime is 50,000 hours. The housing is IP20 protected.
