The compact device is used to expand the DALI circuit. The DALI-2 Expander is connected to the DALI circuit (DALI IN terminals) and behaves like a DALI ECG with a DALI address. The devices connected to the output of the DALI-2 Expander (DALI OUT terminals) form a DALI sub-circuit. The DALI operating devices in the sub-circuit are controlled via the address of the DALI-2 Expander broadcast. With Art. No. 89452937-DES, the devices in the DALI sub-circuit can alternatively be controlled via Switch&Dim. The DALI-2 Expander supplies the sub-circuit via an integrated DALI bus supply, with 25mA or 200mA depending on the device version. In addition to increasing the number of operating devices, the expander can also be used to increase the cable length by 300m. DALI-2 Expander is available in 3 housing variants: for top-hat rail, recessed ceiling/luminaire installation and box installation.
