Ra

Ra stands for "general reference index" and, like the English designation "CRI", refers to the quality of the color rendering of a light source. The Ra or CRI value can therefore be used to compare the lighting quality of different lamps. The value can be between 1 and 100, whereby the latter describes the color rendering index of sunlight and is therefore the most natural.

Attention: The color rendering is independent of the color temperature.

Why should I pay attention to the color rendering index?

You can find the Ra or CRI value in the "Technical data" of the lamps in our store. Basically, an Ra value of ≥80 is not bad. Depending on the application, however, even more natural color rendering should be considered. Especially workplaces where optical finesse is important should be equipped with lighting with the highest possible color rendering index.
