Reiku from Wiehl has been Germany's specialist for high-quality cable protection systems in robotics, automation and mechanical engineering since 1969 – since 2023 part of the French Delfingen Group with 3,800 employees worldwide.
When Hans Hennemann founded Reiku GmbH in Wiehl-Bomig in 1969, the story began as a niche provider for zipper plastic sheathing. Through five decades of organic growth, the company developed into one of the world's leading specialists for complete cable protection systems. Today, the Reiku name stands for innovative dynamics at the highest quality level – with independent development, manufacturing and production at the Wiehl location.

Cable Protection Made in Wiehl – From Niche to Global Market
Reiku GmbH employs around 45-60 people and achieved sales of 14 million euros in 2022. In April 2023, French automotive supplier Delfingen Industry SA acquired 85 percent of the shares. This strategic partnership enables Reiku to accelerate diversification in the industrial market while maintaining the proven quality and innovative strength from Wiehl.
Reiku's product portfolio is broadly positioned: corrugated conduits made of PA6 in various sizes (from NW12 to NW52), fittings with and without strain relief, system holders, glands (straight and 90°), clamps, system sheathing, heat protection and fine mesh. All products are developed, manufactured and produced at the Wiehl-Bomig location.
The application areas are diverse: In robotics, Reiku systems protect sensitive cables in industrial and collaborative robots (CoBots). In mechanical engineering, the cable protection systems are used in heavy construction machinery, machine tools and agricultural machinery. E-mobility and vehicle technology benefits from flexible, robust solutions for electric vehicles and charging stations. In railway technology, Reiku products provide mechanical, chemical and thermal protection of cables in trains and railway facilities.
In 2023, construction of a new company site began on Rudolf-Diesel-Straße in Wiehl-Bomig. The investment of around 10 million euros is the largest in the company's history. The new building complex is more than three times larger than the old one and offers space for further growth. Managing Directors Peter Sailer and David Guitton see this as a clear commitment to the Wiehl location and the company's future. The move was completed in 2025 – in just one week, all machines, systems and data were moved without interrupting production and deliveries longer than necessary.
From Wiehl to the World – Part of the Delfingen Group
With the acquisition by Delfingen in April 2023, Reiku gained access to the global automotive industry market and to the industrial brands Drossbach and Schlemmer. At the same time, Reiku remains what it has always been: an innovative, medium-sized specialist with independent development and production in Wiehl-Bomig. Managing Directors Peter Sailer and David Guitton have committed to staying with the company and further developing the Reiku brand.
