Sensor-switched LED light XSolar L-S, the world's most efficient LED solar light – and one of the most attractive. Bright light, 365 days of the year, zero energy costs. Ideal for mounting on garden walls and external walls – wherever there's no power connection. The XSolar L-S spectacular through and through – in terms of design but above all in the technology stakes. The 1.2-W LED lighting system delivering a sensational 124 lm/W of light is 12times more efficient than a conventional bulb and provides even illumination for an area up to 30 m2. Steinel LEDs have a life expectancy of around 50,000 h which means no maintenance work is necessary. This means: no need to change a bulb ever again! The XSolar L-S wall spotlight also comes with an infrared sensor that's discreetly integrated underneath the LED panel. Angle of coverage: 140°. Reach: 8m radially. This means light is only switched ON when the sensor detects movement. The sensor function automatically switches the light ON when light levels fall to 2 lux, with stay-ON time controlled by software. This patented intelligent microprocessor control system ensures maximum energy efficiency. There's also a basic light-level function. Let's take a look at the two veritable stars of energy efficiency featured in this incredibly innovative lighting system. To begin with, the XSolar L-S is equipped with a monocrystalline solar panel with matt-finished mineral glass cover for optimising the conversion of sunlight into energy. Solar panel and LED panel both turn. Additionally integrated, the compass helps to set the solar panel to face south. Solar panel and LED panel can also be mounted separately – e.g. to the right and left of a building corner so that the solar panel catches the most sunlight. On top of this, the XSolar L-S is also fitted with a powerful 2500 mAh high-performance lithium-iron-phosphate rechargeable battery. This comes fully charged and provides on-demand lighting for up to 50 days from the very first minute. Rechargeable lithium-iron-phosphate batteries impress with high levels of capacitance, they don't discharge and function with any loss of power even at temperatures below freezing. The battery can also be recharged by hand at a micro-USB port – if ever the sun takes a long vacation.
