Protection from water 

In an application such as a car wash, the protection factor of the luminaires is of utmost importance. This is expressed in the IP value, the first digit describing protection against foreign bodies and contact and the second digit referring to protection against moisture.

Due to the wet environment with high foam generation in car washes, a protection factor of ≥ IP66 is recommended.

High efficiency

Modern luminaires with LED technology can achieve significantly higher efficiencies and thus lower overall energy consumption. In terms of energy costs, they therefore offer a considerable advantage over conventional luminaires with halogen or fluorescent technology. But there are also considerable differences within LED luminaires: high-quality luminaires usually achieve significantly better efficiencies than luminaires from low-cost suppliers. Especially in the long run, the efficiency of a luminaire has a positive influence on the total costs of lighting.

Long service life

Especially for high-quality investments, long durability and a preferably maintenance-free operation are important. LED luminaires score points with a very long service life. They can be operated for up to 50,000 hours, while conventional models usually last only 20,000 hours. With an average operating time of 8 hours per day and 5 days a week, weekends and holidays excluded (i.e. at around 220 operating days per year) LED lights last for almost 30 years.
